RAM Arm
The RAM arm joiners come in different lengths to accommodate different situations. As an example Motorcycle mounts generally need a very short arm to accommodate the relatively small distance available. Truck suction mounts however generally need a longer arm to bring the unit closer to the driver.

We’ve included a table list to show the size variation between the units. RAM use a code for their size compatibility. At the beginning of a RAM product code “RAM-X” where X is either B, D or E the letter used will denote the size of the ball mount needed to join into the arm. (The exception being the C size classification which doesn’t have a letter e.g. RAM-201-B)

The Arm units are designed to join ball mounts together. For example, you might have a Garmin unit that you want to suction onto the windscreen. In this example, you will need a Ball mount to join to the Garmin unit and a suction mount to adhere to the windscreen. Both the suction ball mount and the Ball mount have RAM rubber balls on the ends so you will need a RAM arm unit to join the two together.
RAM Connectors/Adapters
If you need a setup that utilises more than one device the usual solution would typically be to add another base mount, arm and cradle into your setup. These adapters are great for extending your setup to maximise the number of devices without using up significantly more space.
