Garmin D2 Aviation Watch Announcement

Garmin has announced a new addition to their growing line of wrist worn devices, Garmin D2 Bravo – Aviation Watch. The GPS watch is feature packed and is designed to be thinner, light and more accurate then most aviation watches.
It hosts a range of features such as altitude alerts, METAR reports on screen, direct-to and nearest airport navigation and a worldwide aviation navigation database. The D2 Bravo will work wirelessly with your smart phone to give you accurate meteorological information: winds, visibility, precipitation and cloud cover.
The D2 has a focus on situational awareness allowing you to assign customizable data fields. Including:
- GPS ground-speed
- GPS track
- Distance from waypoints/airports (Access a worldwide airport database – allowing for quick direct-to and nearest routing options)
- Altitude
- Estimated time en-route
- Bearing
- Glide ratio
The D2 Bravo can also show you local time and Zulu/UTC time. The watch also allows the use of the stopwatch function for timing approaches or flight legs.
